Warranty

PPC’s warranty covers all coated parts for three (3) years from the date of purchase, for any defect in workmanship, i.e. lifting of flaking of coating not related to severe overtemp, “noted by severe discoloration”, or rust coming through the coating.

We agree to recoat any affected part free of charge within a reasonable period of time as determined by PPC. We agree to pay return ground freight of said part. We will not refund the price of purchase, but will gladly repair the part free of charge. The warranty does not cover labor or materials needed for removal and installation of said part, such as gaskets, bolts, clamps, etc. The warranty also does not cover burning or overtemp of part, which is easily identified by turning grey to pewter in color, depending on the severity of the overtemp.

Treat your coated part as you would polished aluminum. The use of alkali or acid cleaners will etch and discolor the part making it more susceptible to corrosion and this will void your warranty. Stains and surface rust from road splash, such as snow and rain, can be sanded with 1500 grit wet and dry sandpaper and the polished out with California Custom Purple Metal Polish™ or Blue Magic™ aluminum polish, both available at many stores and truck stops. Most other aluminum cleaners have an abrasive which is too course and will change the appearance of the part. If in doubt, try to polish on an obscure area first to see if it affects the appearance of the part. The coating will provide you years of service, but like all polished parts, must be maintained to keep its appearance.
